He is currently living near New Orleans, and he has for quite a while been carrying the traditions of New Orleans Funk into the new millenium. Cleary builds on the traditions of such people as Dr. John and Professor Longhair. He plays a really mean piano with elements of polyrhythmic and a really funky groove. On several occasions Mr. Cleary has been playing the keyboards for Bonny Raitt while on tour, but he is also touring the world with his band - The Absolute Monster Gentlemen (AMG).
