The two were previously played together in Revenant. The band is currently located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Incantation was one of Relapse Records' first signings, releasing their initial seven inches and a handful of albums with them. The band has seen many lineup changes in their eighteen year history and guitarist John McEntee is the sole original member. They have released 10 full-length studio albums to date as well as a range of EPs, split releases, compilations and live albums. The band is notable for mixing widely varied tempos into their music, often playing slow, down-tuned passages similar to those performed by other death-doom bands like Autopsy, Winter, and Disembowelment. Incantation first came to prominence with Onward to Golgotha and Mortal Throne of Nazarene, which features Craig Pillard on vocals. Following the release of the Forsaken Mourning of Angelic Anguish EP in 1997, Pillard departed Incantation and was replaced by Daniel Corchado of The Chasm. Corchado performed on one album, 1998's Diabolical Conquest, before departing. Vocalist Mike Saez performed on the next two albums, The Infernal Storm (2000) and Blasphemy (2002). Beginning with Decimate Christendom, guitarist and frontman John McEntee took on vocal responsibilities, a role that he continues to the present. 2) A Tribal Flute Band. Incantation is also a Tribal Flute Band (Musical Group) The band are a musical group playing traditional tribal and other South American music. The band started in 1981 from a pool of musicians who were, at the time, playing all kinds of different types of music for the (then) Ballet Rambert, based in London. A new ballet was choreographed (called “Ghost Dances”) about political oppression in South America, to the music of Inti-Illimani, the exiled Chilean folk group. Incantation was chosen as the band’s name, based on the word “Inca”. Read moreShow less

The band, who got their name from the Dark Elvish word for stonewood, formed in 2023 and quickly garnered a fanbase for their old-school, melodeath take on deathcore. Despite forming as a straight edge band, the band would abandon edge around February 2026 after the sudden departure of vocalist Senti, a founding member, who was swiftly replaced without much explaination. The band signed to Daze around April 2025 and released their debut album on May 29, 2026. The album, however, was met with mixed reviews among fans, and allegations against Jay and former-vocalist Senti quickly overshadowed the release, eventually leading to the band nuking its social media and dropping off tours. Formed in 2023, the band quickly gained recognition for their powerful, modern take on deathcore, blending brutal breakdowns with melodic elements and intense, introspective lyrics. The band consists of vocalist Yasmin Liverneaux Belkhodja, lead guitarist Dave Ricco, guitarists Corey Doremus and Thomas Cardone, bassist Kyle Muenzner, and drummer Eric DiCarlo. Each member brings a unique background to the group, contributing to their distinctive sound. Yasmin, who is based in France, auditioned for the band after being recommended by a mutual friend, and her classical music training adds a unique depth to the band's vocal range. Eric, the band’s founder and drummer, faced the tumultuous currents of life with unwavering determination. Battling a learning disability in his youth, he found solace in the cadence of percussion. His journey through video production and acting ultimately led him back to the drum kit, birthing Face Yourself in 2023 by bringing back musicians he had previously collaborated with on different projects. The lineup came together with Corey, who initially helped with vocal production, and Dave, who was brought in for his technical guitar skills. Kyle, who had worked with Eric on previous projects, joined as the bassist, solidifying the group. The name "Face Yourself" was chosen by Eric, inspired by a song that deeply resonated with him. The band aims to confront personal and societal struggles through their music, inviting listeners to do the same. In March 2023, Face Yourself released their self-titled debut EP, followed by their second EP Death Reflections in June. Their music combines bone-crushing breakdowns, blistering guitar solos, and guttural vocals, creating an atmosphere of sheer aggression and primal force. Since their formation, Face Yourself has released three EPs and nine music videos, with each release further defining their sound and establishing them as a rising force in the deathcore scene. - 2. Face Yourself was an unsigned American progressive/melodic deathcore band from Portland, Oregon. They were formed in September 2012 and remained active until 2017. The band lineup consisted of Jackson Douglas Brockie on vocals, Christopher Jordan Wittren on lead guitar and production, Jesus Duran on rhythm guitar, Levi Delgado on bass, and Ian Mckenzie on drums. Face Yourself initially began as a studio side project between Brockie and Wittren, who had played in separate bands before deciding to collaborate. Their goal was to create a unique sound that fused deathcore with progressive and melodic elements. Their first release, "Demo 2012," came out in September of that year, with Brockie handling vocals and Wittren covering guitars, bass, drums, and programming. They followed this up with the release of their EP COLD in February 2013, once again produced under Wittren’s label, Spin Cycle Productions, which he had established in 2009. In August 2013, they released the single "Broken and Bloody," which featured a more developed lineup, with Adam Eaton on bass guitar and Chase Morris on drums joining Brockie, Wittren, and Duran. Face Yourself disbanded in October 2014 but made a brief return in February 2016, announcing their comeback. However, their final single, "Mouth of Lies," was released in August 2017 before the band ultimately dissolved. After the band's dissolution, Wittren continued his musical career with his solo project, Becoming Akh. - 3. Face Yourself was a metalcore band from Nová Dubnica, Slovakia, formed in 2008 and inactive since 2013. The band's lineup included Jaro Tvrdoň on vocals, Marek Masár and Miro Adamec on guitars, Marek Adamička on bass, and Marek Ježík on drums. The band was known for combining heavy metalcore elements with melodic riffs and emotional lyrics. Face Yourself initially started as a garage band, with Jaro Tvrdoň playing drums before eventually transitioning to vocals. After several lineup changes, including the addition of guitarist Miro Adamec and drummer Marek Ježík, the band solidified its lineup and sound. They performed their first live show in 2009 and soon began working on their first studio recording. In early 2010, Face Yourself released their debut album In Front of Your Eyes, which featured seven tracks. The song "In Our Hands" included guest vocals from Dominika Čižnárová and a piano outro by Martin Kozík. Following the release, the band gained local recognition and performed at various venues throughout Slovakia. In 2011, the band underwent a difficult period, with members struggling to balance personal commitments such as work and education, which led to a decline in activity. Despite these challenges, the band reunited in late 2012 and decided to record one final album as a farewell before key members left for abroad. In February 2013, they returned to RCR Studio to record The Darkest Essence of Light. The album captured the challenges and emotions the band faced during its later years. Read moreShow less
