"Rock The Boat" is Mongoose’s latest release. Many have hailed them as the best live band in Vancouver and they consistently deliver on that moniker. The band, comprised of RC (vocals), Shockk (guitar), Johnny Wildkat (bass), and a host of supporting drummers is like a midnight ride on a black unicorn hurtling towards a bad moon. Their musical approach combines the sounds of bands like The Stooges or early AC/DC with transcendent progressive musical insight ala Rush or Bad Brains. Popular contemporary sonic peers include My Bloody Valentine and Arctic Monkeys. Like the creature they are named after, this vicious little band will tear into you and have you bleeding rock 'n' roll before you know what time it is.
